Rosemarie C. Basa has been with CREBA for at least 30 years, serving the national board and its major committees in various capacities for close to three decades.

Rose was the Chamber public relations officer in from 1997 to 1998. Soon after, she became Vice-President for Internal Affairs and then Executive Vice-President in 1999 and 2000 during the presidency of Charlie Gorayeb.

After serving as P.R.O. once more between year 2001 and 2003, Rose went on to become Vice-President for Finance in 2004 and then back as EVP in 2005, this time alongside then-national president Jimmy Cura. She was a member of the Board from 2007-2008. Upon Dr. Cura’s re-election as president, Rose was once again tapped to be his EVP in 2009.

In the few years that followed, she devoted her time and energies, as well as her deep business connections with various sectors of the industry, in helping fulfill the mission of the CREBA Social Housing Foundation. In that capacity, she mounted a nationwide campaign among local government units to spearhead and implement housing projects in their localities in support of national efforts to avert the housing backlog.

For that purpose, she organized at least two major consecutive conventions – focused on training and encouraging provincial, city and municipal shelter planners and local executives to give emphasis to solving local housing needs with the assistance of the private sector. One of the outputs of this exercise was a guidebook, formulated by the Foundation in cooperation with housing agencies and LGU leagues.

In 2011, Rose was back as the Chamber’s EVP, during which she ensured key programs that would strengthen membership and the members’ involvement in CREBA’s advocacies and activities.

Since then and up to the present, Rose remains active in the national board, either as PRO, vice-president for internal affairs or director. She has also been a chairman of the convention organizing committee, particularly in the year 2000 when CREBA held it in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

At present, Rose is COO of Surepanels Manufacturing, chief executive officer of the Pilipino Drivers Transport Academy of the Philippines, President of RCB Management Consultancy, Radio Host of DWIZ under the Aliw Broadcasting Company and Editor-in-Chief of Profiles Magazine.
