Dr. Fernando “Fer” L. Martinez, PhD, is the Chairman of Eastern Group which consists of J&M Properties and Construction Corporation, Eastern Petroleum Corporation, Filipino Energy (EC Gas) Resources Corporation and Gazelle Motors Corporation.
He recently founded Filipino Economic Recovery Foundation to serve as the Groups CSR arm on livelihood generation and economic and Policy Research initiative.
He started in the public sector in various capacities including the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), Ministry of Human Settlements, Director of Presidential Management Staff, and as Administrator/General Manager of Food Terminal Inc. (FTI) which was his last stint in the Public Sector.
He founded his property development company in 1988, which pioneered in Industrial estate development in CALABARZON. Today, J&M Properties is in Township development, Warehouse development and Pocket Urban development.
Fer is past President of Rotary Club of Makati Salcedo and seats as Director of Philippine Chamber of Agriculture and Food Incorporated (PCAFI), Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) and President of Lopez Residents Association (LOGREMARA).
