Chapter!

In 2006, the late Eugene Yu – then CREBA National VP for Chapter Affairs – visited us in Pangasinan accompanied by CREBA-La Union officers led by its President, the late Amby Valero, VP Ed La Madrid and Jun Favis, together with Jun Alzona of CREBA-Baguio.

In our meeting at the PTA Beach Resort in San Fabian, Pangasinan together with Phil Delfino and Johnny Denopra, I – being a Developer – was encouraged to lead the CREBA Pangasinan Chapter; but due to my busy schedule, we urged Phil Delfino instead. Prior to this, CREBA National Board appointed Mayor Mong Libunao to head CREBA-Pangasinan but he was also busy.

Initially, Phil and I tried to call the members and recruits to a meeting but for almost 2 years, we failed to activate the Chapter. Often, only the two of us attended.

During my term, I requested for a master list of Pangasinan Developers from then HLURB and visited them one by one, but only a few were active.

We then started having monthly meetings to activate everyone and give them something to be excited about. We held sports activities like bowling and Fun Run, picnics and tree planting. The members soon enjoyed the extra activities and fellowship –especially when we started joining the Annual Conventions of CREBA.

Our Chapter is so grateful to my fellow Presidents, Phil Delfino, Engr. Leo Sy, Marilyn Untalan, Arch. Rolando D. Sabado, Ruby Manaday, Engr. Rolando Ferrer, Engr. Denver Mon Claveria, Engr. Juan Denopra, Alex Gille, Dr. Manuel Callanta, Engr. Nicanor Lopez and Engr. Felipe Daroya; and of course, the new President of CREBA-Pangasinan, my daughter Maria Teresa “Aixa” Sison-De Guzman.

These leaders contributed their individual talents, recruits and time towards a better and bigger CREBA Pangasinan. It is here where we learn, enjoy, experience and get updated in Real Estate,

We are also indebted to our National Officers and Members for they spearheaded our Industry.

We will continue supporting CREBA-Pangasinan until the very end!
