Established in 1984, CREBA-Cagayan De Oro Chapter, to this day, continues to be a potent platform for members to discuss and tackle industry issues and concerns, introduce new developments and real estate business strategies, and help less fortunate people in various areas in Mindanao.
The CREBA-CDO Chapter has launched several education initiatives, including the Comprehensive Real Estate Seminars (CRES) for Brokers and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Seminars for Sales Professionals. In its operation as an Education Institute, CREBA-CDO has produced passers and top-notchers in various professional licensure exams.
CREBA-Cagayan De Oro is currently headed by President Ed Argayoso. Its mission is to become the umbrella organization of the different stakeholders in the real estate sector and its allied industries in the area, and address industry issues through advocacy efforts that redound to the promotion of sustainable real estate development in CDO and its neighboring areas.
CREBA-Cagayan De Oro hosts a recurring development forum to tackle pressing issues being encountered by stakeholders in the real estate industry – such as city and regional development, zonal valuation, taxation, tourism, land development and various laws and regulations affecting the industry. National and local speakers are invited to speak in such fora.
CREBA-CDO has hosted several formal oath-taking and pinning ceremonies for licensed real estate service practitioners. It has also partnered with national and international entities and conducted prestigious ceremonies such as the National Association of Realtors’s (NAR) first pinning ceremony in Mindanao and the PRC/PRBRES Oath taking for Licensed Brokers in its part in Mindanao.
In 2011, following the devastation by typhoon Sendong as it swept across Northern Mindanao, CREBA-CDO launched the CREBA village initiative, to provide a group of families with emergency housing within a gated community near markets, schools, clinics, and transportation.
